Celebrate The Fourth of July in Forest Park at the SKL 6th Annual Street BBQ on Madison Street. Featuring BBQ turkey legs, footlong hot dogs, beer specials, and live music, the Street BBQ is a great addition to your Fourth of July celebrations and a great way to see, taste, and hear all the exciting things Oak Park and Forest Park have to offer.

This open-submission art exhibition in Oak Park explores the personal lens of experience with today’s American culture and national identity from diverse voices and through varied multimedia installations. This event is free and open to the public. The Aesthetic of Our National Identity opening runs from 6pm to 9pm.
Every Saturday, 5-9pm, 905 S. Lombard, Oak Park
Join The Buzz Cafe every Saturday night on Harrison St and Lombard Ave in the Oak Park Arts District for an evening of live music, organic food, and tasty brews. Burgers Beers, and Bands runs every Saturday from 5pm to 9pm at 905 S Lombard. This event is free, but the food and drinks are well worth a try.
July 11th, 12th, 13th, Times Vary, 7900 W Division St, River Forest
Come celebrate half a summer of hard work from students, staff, and of The Actor’s Garden Theater Camp as they launch their first Summer 2019 performances of Off To Olympus, an original script and score produced by Gigi and Dave Hudson. This fun and toe-tapping musical brings ancient Greek myths to life in an educational and hilarious twist. This event is hosted at Dominican Performing Arts Center at 7900 Division St, River Forest. Tickets for Off To Olympus can be purchased through Dominican Performing Arts Center’s website.
July 27th, 10am - 8pm, 224 Lake St, Oak Park
Part yard sale, part local art market, Compound Yellow invites you to explore the work of local creative makers as well as archived artistic works offered on sale at a discount. Live music featuring Jessica Mindrum, national youth poet laureate Kara Jackson, and local rapper Grizzy Mack will accompany free food and good conversation. This event is in Oak Park at Compound Yellow. This event runs from 10am - 8pm with performances throughout the afternoon.
